We’ve known for quite some time now that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be coming to Xbox One before PS4, as part of an exclusivity deal with Microsoft. What has eluded us however is a release date on the console, which has been revealed by Bluehole as December 12th.
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is a game that has been making significant waves on the internet these past few months, and while it was only recently Microsoft and Bluehole entered into a partnership to bring the game to Xbox One, we finally know Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One Release Date. With a live stream from Paris Game Week on the Xbox Mixer channel we finally got a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on the Xbox One through the Xbox Game Preview program. From that day, Xbox One players will have the chance to play the game as part of the Xbox Game Preview program, which will shortly be followed for the release of the PC version in late December. So needless to say, it’s going to be a busy month for PUBG.

The developers are working on both PC and Xbox One versions at the same time, though they have confirmed that they will have two different roadmaps which will see them taking a different approach going forward. Chang Han Kim, the executive producer of the game, recently stated:
“We’re approaching development on Xbox One with the same community-driven focus that we’ve taken with the game on PC. As a result, the ultimate battle royale experience that fans play on Xbox One will be slightly different than what players know today on PC.”
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is out now in Steam Early Access, and will be making its way to Xbox One on December 12th. A PS4 release date is yet to be revealed, though given that there are talks of Microsoft extending the exclusivity deal, so they may be waiting a while.

In addition to announcing Xbox’s XGP launch date on December 12, they also shared the exciting news that they’re on track to launch 1.0 for the PC version in late December.
Both versions are being developed at the same time, but they both have their own separate roadmaps. Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with the goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible.
